DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF JONAH (JONAH 1:15; JONAH 2:10)

Jonah died in Jonah 1:15 and was subsequently crying to God from the “belly of hell” (Jonah 2:2) after being “cast into the SEA”.

It is first important to understand that the “sea” is the “abyss”.

Now the Greek definition explains.

Now that we have established the fact that the “sea” is the “bottomless pit” (i.e., hell), who resides in the “abyss”?

The “abyss”, “bottomless pit”, “Sheol”, “hell”, “place of departed spirits” (Greek #12), the celestial realm, and the “sea” are all home to 2nd heaven; Satan’s kingdom which is their current place of “habitation“.

Considering the fact that Jonah was in the abyss for 3 days, similar to Jesus, the “Two Witnesses” prophecy (Revelation 8:13)…etc., Jonah was “cast” into the “sea” which means he has to have physically died to be in hell. Jonah sinned by trying to run from God (Jonah 1:3) and sin equals death.

Fortunately, the Lord is merciful and resurrected Jonah from the “belly of hell”(Jonah 2:2). You must remember, Biblical numerology and GEMATRIA have to be in “agreement” with “scripture”. Thank you and God bless you.
